 Synthesis of the evaluation report of the Sterinis® process for the disinfection of units of care at Gooi-Noord Regional Hospital (Netherland)
The evaluation of Sterinis® at the Gooi-Noord regional hospital (Netherlands) was carried out on a room presenting an architecture making difficult airborne disinfection.
The selected stock "Staphylococcus aureus" is of clinical origin. The 15 samples points of 10 cm² each one are distributed in all the room, the inoculum is of 105cfu/ml for each point.
The results are presented for each situation. The table presents for each point of measurement, the nature of the sample point and the results of the sample after 30 minutes of contact then 1h30 of time of contact (then after 20h of incubation). Only a point does not profit from a reduction of 5log.

The results highlight the principal following points:
Sterinis® is a device making possible to diffuse a disinfecting dry mist in all the volume of the room, even in not directly accessible areas
Sterinis® is able to apply a reduction of 4,8log by airborne disinfection as early as 30 minutes of contact in all the part to a clinical stock of “Staphylococcus aureus”
