 Evaluation report at Adelaide Meath hospital (Tallaght hospital-Dublin):
This evaluation of Sterinis® in Tallaght hospital have been done using the preventive mode of Sterinis® with only one hour of contact time. A total of 96 samples have been carried out using traditional blood agars and MacConkey agars to identify pathogenic Gram-positive cocci.
Air sampling have been done in one room and established a 73,5% efficiency rate in preventive mode against Klebseilla and Staphylococcal.
The Sterinis® evaluation have been done in:
Medecine laboratory of the hospital (dedicated to Buckholderia ceperia works) contaminated by Buckholderia ceperia and Staphylococcus aureus
Day care center
Lane ward where traditionnal cleaning has been insufficient and Sterinis® completely disinfected all the surfaces
Children outpatient ward used for consultation and surgical dressing where species of bacillus have been found
Plaster room used for adding and removing plaster or paris where Sterinis® could killed all present germs
Examination room for children suffering from cystic fibrosis where usually there is many Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia and Haemophilus influenzae.
Ruttle ward where a Norovirus infected patient had been cured and where Sterinis® proove its efficiency against transmission of germs.
In addition to the fact that "the dry mist method is particularly useful for décontamining equipment and furniture that is difficult to clean manually", the high efficiency rate (no growth of any germ after disinfection whereas there was growth before disinfection) in preventive mode proove the high efficiency of Sterinis®.
